The Solar Energy Trade Mission in Egypt is organized by MESIA (Middle East Solar Industry Association) and Joint Forces for Solar. This landmark event will give you a complete outlook on the solar market developments in Egypt.

The government has a very ambitious target and wants to get 42 percent of its energy sector powered by renewables by 2025. Especially in the solar industry, Egypt is now back at the front stage with the world’s largest solar energy farm expected to be completed next year in the Egyptian desert. The $2.8-billion Benban complex is expected to generate 1.8-gigawatts of electricity, enough to power more than 1 million homes.

In addition to that, the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company is currently reviewing six bids for the 200 MW Kom Ombo solar PV project including two bids both of which were below the $0.03 mark. Those are just the visible part of the iceberg but a lot more is going on.

The conference and business matchmaking event aims to bring together local decision-makers including government authorities and key developers with international companies from the solar industry to encourage the exchange of ideas and expertise and pave the way for business partnerships.

Meet with government representatives and key decision makers to propel your business activities in Egypt and receive latest market insights by regional and international players. Share institutional and policy experiences that support the Egyptian solar market development.
